COMMISSIONS

If you can’t find that perfect item or piece furniture you are looking for or have a particular idea that you would like brought to life, then I would be delighted to help you.

Making bespoke, one-off pieces of furniture is something of an adventure, an exciting journey that client and maker can share together.

The first step on that journey would be a conversation, a sharing of thoughts and ideas to develop the concept.  Pencil sketches are a great way to exchange ideas at this stage. It is often beneficial to see photographs of the intended setting to help develop a feel for the aesthetic and materials that would suit.  Accurate measurements of the space a piece will be occupying are essential.

Once I have clear understanding of what a client wants and needs, I can begin the design process.  This is when I look more closely at the detail of a project and start to model the piece in 3D, using CAD software.

Once a design is signed off by the client the business of making begins. I will keep you updated regularly and encourage you to visit the workshop, if you can, so you can see the progress of your item as it goes through the stages of production. Alternatively, I can offer a photo and video update.

I always endeavour to personally deliver bespoke pieces to make sure they arrive in pristine condition.

I look forward to hearing from you.
